About the artist

Isabelle Aubin was born in Montreal, Quebec and had a successful career as a model (aka Alexandra Aubin).

She was fortunate and inspired to have worked with some of the greatest photographers of the era. Richard Avedon, Irving Penn and Guy Bourdin, just to name a few.

Her curiosity on all things going on behind the camera led her to start working in photography by the late 1990s. Carrying with her (at all times) a Polaroid and of course film to her many assignments and while traveling the world as a model.

She further honed her skills while studying with the legendary Mary Ellen Mark and "art for arts sake" photography classes at Santa Monica College.

Isabelle currently resides in California and is working on a documentary feature film with French photographer and filmmaker Christophe Gstalder.
